He began his career at the Shipping Corporation of India &#8211; the country&#8217;s state shipping company, where he spent the first year of training in Mumbai. He spent most of his time at sea between 1971 and 1978. In his last three years at sea, he sailed as chief engineer.<\/p><p>In 1978, Mr Rajvanshy came ashore as he progressed toward the post of superintendent.<\/p><p>In 1979, he embarked upon a 15-year career with a prominent Hong Kong-based ship management company. Starting as a superintendent, he was soon promoted to technical manager, then technical director and finally &#8211; for the last eight years with the firm &#8211; he was Director and General Manager.<\/p><p>In November 1994, Mr Rajvanshy joined Noble Group to establish Fleet Management Limited, which was subsequently acquired by The Caravel Group.<\/p><p>In 2019, Mr Rajvanshy was awarded a \u201cLifetime Achievement Award\u201d by Sea trade Asia. In 2017, Mr Rajvanshy was awarded a \u201cLifetime Achievement Award\u201d by Lloyd\u2019s List in Singapore as well as Tanker Shipping and Trade in London. In 2018, Mr Rajvanshy was elected as Vice Chairman of the Board of the West of England P&amp;I Club, where he has been a Director since 2007.
